Answer: No latent heat  is not applicable for transforming gaseous phase into liquid phase and from liquid phase to solid phase. We only need to cool it to form gaseous into liquid and liquid into solid.

Explanation:

Latent heat is the heat required to convert a solid into a liquid or vapour, or a liquid into a vapour, without change of temperature.

In both the cases latent heat concept is applied. In first case from gaesous phase to liquid phase it is known as latent heat of condensation. In second case from liquid to solid phase it is known as latent heat of fusion.
