The National Constitution Day is also called the Samvidhan Divas. It is celebrated in India to commemorate the adoption of the Constituent Assembly of India. The Constitution Of India came into effect on the 26th of January, in the year 1950. The Constituent Assembly drafted the Constitution of India.

The National Constitution of India was adopted on 26th November 1949 and on 26th January 1945, the National Constitution of India was officially adopted.

Hence 26th November is celebrated as National Constitution Day and 26th January is celebrated as Republic Day of India.
