Mrs. Pumphrey consecutively fed Tricki, even after Mr. Herriot's advice.
Mr. Herriot hospitalised Tricki for a fortnight after hearing Tricki's illness reaching the peak i.e Tricki would lay hopeless and vommit in bouts . He used simple methods to treat Tricki, i.e by 3 days fasting with plenty of water, to which Tricki showed response to the surroundings after 2 days and started to become a part of the canal of dogs in the clinic. Mr. Herriot, let Tricki roam freely and play with other dogs different from him, which made Tricki into a strong and agile dog.
