Answer:

6 Jumps

Step-by-step explanation:

For every step frog jump 3 m and fall back = 2 m

When frog reaches ≥ 9 m then his jump of 3m will make ≥ 12 m

so frog will be out of well.

For all other jumps frog will 3 - 1 = 2m

So for n number of jumps by frog

( n -1 ) * 2 ≥ 12 - 3    ( as there will be last jump also)

=> (n - 1) * 2  ≥ 9

=> 2n - 2 ≥ 9

=> 2n  ≥ 11

=> n  ≥ 11/2

=> n ≥ 5.5

=> n = 6

in 6 jumps Frog will be out of well
