Liquid :It has definite volume and take the shape of the container in which it is kept.The force of attraction between molecules of the liquid is high.Example are : milk , water etc.

Gas : It always exert a force on the wall of the container in which it is kept, the force of attraction between molecules of the gases is low.Example are LPG,CNG etc.
