Answers
★ How to do :-
Here, we are given with two fractions in which we are asked to find the difference i.e, we should subtract those two fractions. So, here we cannot directly add the fractions as the fractions are having some different denominators. So, first we should make their denominators as same or they should be converted into like fractions. The best way of conversion of unlike fractions to like fractions is the concept of least common multiple also known as LCM. So, let's solve!!
➤ Solution :-
Convert them into like fractions by taking the LCM of the denominators i.e, 14 and 8.
LCM of 14 and 8 is 56.
Multiply the numerators and the denominators of both the fractions.
Write both numerators in one fraction and subtract them.

More to know :-
- While adding or subtracting the fractions if the given fractions have different denominators i.e, if they are unlike fractions, convert them into like fractions by taking the LCM of the denominators.
- While multiplying or dividing the fractions, we can solve them directly without taking any LCM.
hope it will help you.
