(7x - 4xy + 8y2 - 3y) - (5x - 4xy2 + 6y - 3)

= (7x - 4xy + 16y - 3y) - (5x - 8xy + 6y - 3)

= 7x - 4xy + 13y - 5x + 8xy - 6y + 3

= 2x + 4xy + 7y + 3

I was not so sure for the question so here's another one with square in it.

(7x - 4xy + {8y}^{2} - 3y) - (5x - {4xy}^{2} + 6y - 3)

= 2x - 4xy + {8y}^{2} - 9y + {4xy}^{2} + 3

Hope this will work!
