sum of -3/10 and 5/8

-3/10 + 5/8

= -3×4/10×4 + 5×5/8×5

= -12/40 + 25/40

= -12+25/40

= 13/40

sum of 4/15 and 2/-5

4/15 + (2/-5)

=4/15 + (-2×3/5×3)

=4/15 + (-6/15)

=4/15 - 6/15

= 4-6/15

= -2/15

subract the sum of -3/10 and 5/8 from the sum of 4/15 and 2/-5

= (-2/15) - (13/40)

= (-2×8/15×8) - (13×3/40×3)

= (-16/120) - (39/120)

= -16-39/120

= -55/120

= -55÷5/120÷5

= -11/24
