Substance and structures are associated with the nuclear envelopes. The outer nuclear membrane is continuous with the endoplasmic reticulum & the Inner membrane is associated with intermediate filament proteins called lamins to form the nuclear lamina.
- Nucleus:It is a double membranous organelle exclusive to eukaryotes.
- In between 2 lipid bilayers, a 20-50 nm wide perinuclear space is present.
- The nuclear envelope has a nuclear pore which is there to exchange the material between the cytoplasm & nucleus.
