x = (6-y)/2

put it in next eq

3y = 6/2 - y/2 - 10

3y + y/2 = 6/2 - 10

7y/2 = -14/2

7y = -14

y = -2

now, x = {6-(-2) }/2

x = (6+2)/2

x = 8/2

x = 4

hope it helped
