Hey there!

3x-2y=20 .... equation (1)
4x+y =34.... equation (2)

y=34-4x

Substituting in first equation

3x -2( 34-4x) =20

3x - 68 +8x=20

(3+8)x-68=20

11x-68=20

11x=20+68

11x=88

x=88/11 =8

Now y=34-4x

y=34-4(8)

y=34-32

y=2

(x,y) =(8,2)

hope helped!

Hi there !!

4x + y = 34
y = 34-4x

substitute this value in the equation :-
3x-2y=20

3x - 2 [ 34-4x ] = 20
3x - 68 + 8x = 20
11x - 68 = 20
11x = 88
x = 88/11
x = 8

we have got the value of one variable :- "x"

put this value in any one of the equations :-

3x - 2y=20

24 - 2y = 20

-2y = 20 - 24

-2y = -4

y = 2

Hope this Helps You !!
