make y the subject of both eqns, we get,
y=2x-4 and y=(3+x)/3

equating both eqns now,
2x-4=(3+x)/3
6x-12=3+x
5x=15
x=3

substituting the value of x in first equation
2(3)-y=4
6-y=4
y=2

hope this helps!!

Hey!!!...here is ur answer

by substitution method

2x-y=4

y=2x-4

substitute the value of y in 3y-x=3

3 (2x-4)-x=3

6x-12-x=3

5x=15

x=3

put x=3 in 2x-y=4

2×3-y=4

y=2

So the value of x=3 and y=2

Hope it will help you
