3x=5+2y
x=5+2y/3
2*5+2y/3+y=7
10+4y/3+y=7
10+4y+3y/3=7
10+7y=21
7y=11
y=11/7
therefore
x=5+2y/3
x=5+2×11÷7/3
x=35+66/7
x=101/7

Answer:-

Step by step explanation

3x - 2y = 5 ------ ( 1 )

2x + y = 7 -------( 2 )

From eq'n ( 1 )

3x - 2y = 5

=> 3x = 2y + 5

=> x = (2y + 5 / 3 ) ------- ( 3 )

Substitute eq'n ( 3 ) in eq'n ( 2 )

2x + y = 7

=> 2 (2y + 5 / 3 ) + y = 7

=> ( 4y + 10 / 3 ) + y = 7

=> 4y + 10 + 3y = 30

=> 7y = 30 - 10

=> 7y = 20

=> y = 20 / 7

From eq'n ( 1 )

3x - 2y = 5

=> 3x - 2 ( 20 / 7 ) = 5

=> 3x - 40 / 7 = 5

=> 21x - 40 = 35

=> 21x = 35 + 40

=> 21x = 75

=> x = 75 / 21

=> x = 25 / 7

Therefore, the value of x is 25 / 7 and y is 20 / 7.

Hope it helps!
