Substract -4 from the quotient of -4and -1/3

The answer given is 16. I am having confusion getting that.

The real answer is 12-4=8

quotient of -4 and -1/3 means...

(-4)÷ (-1/3) = -4× {-3/1}

= 12

then substract -4 from 12 which means..

12-(-4)= 16
