subtract 2x-5y from the sum of the binomials x+7y and 3x - 6y

First you would start writing like this....

x+7y+3x-6y

= 4x+y (Sum of the binomials)

Then, (4x+y)-(2x-5y)

= 4x+y-2x+5y

= 2x+6y (Final subtraction and answer)
