 \frac{ 2}{3}  - ( -  \frac{4}{7})  \\  \frac{2}{3}  +  \frac{4}{7}  \\  =  \frac{26}{21}

solution:

2/3 - (-4/7)

= 2/3 + 4/7

= (2*7/3*7) + (4*3/7*3)

= 14/21 + 12/21

= 14+12/21

= 26/21

= 1.238095238
