We have given three Equation 4x²-7x+9

3x²-5x+2 & -5x²-8x+9

Firstly we have to find the sum

Sum : (3x²-5x+2) + (-5x²-8x+9)

opening the brackets and expanding the terms

=>3x²-5x+2-5x²-8x+9

Solving x² terms

=>3x²-5x² -5x+2-8x+9

=>-2x²-5x-8x+2+9

solving x terms

=> -2x²-13x+2+9

solving constant terms

=>-2x²-13x+11

Now, substract 4x²-7x+9 from -2x²-13x+11

Write -2x²-13x+11 first and then substract 4x²-7x+9

=> -2x²-13x+11-(4x²-7x+9)

opening the brackets and expanding the terms

=>-2x²-13x+11-4x²+7x-9

Making like terms together

=> -2x²-4x²-13x+7x+11-9

=> -6x²-6x +2

Taking 2 common

2(-3x²-3x+1) (answer)
