As per the data given in the question,

We have to determine the value when 6y^2 is subtracted from -5y^2

So, for finding the value of the resultant we can rewrite the above expression as,

(-5y^2) - (6y^2)

As we know that,

When two quantities both have similar sign like either (+) or (-) then the co -efficient of both number are added while the resultant value have similar sign as the number.

So, here we will add (5y^2) \:and\:(6y^2) and resultant number will have negative sign as the both number have negative sign.

So, we will get the result as,

(-5y^2) - (6y^2)\\=>-11y^

Hence, we will get -11y^2 when  6y^2 is subtracted from -5y^2

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to determine the required number.

             Given data:-  6y^{2} from -5y^{2} .

             To find:- Value of the given expression.

             Solution:-

  • When two quantities both have a similar sign like either (+) or (-) then the co -efficient of both numbers is added while the resultant value has a similar sign as the number.s

             Therefore,

           \begin{array}{l}\left(-5 y^{2}\right)-\left(6 y^{2}\right) \\=>-11 y^{2} \end{array}

        Hence we will get the value is -11y^{2} .
