  • As per the data given in the question, we have to find the value of the expression.

          Given data:-\frac{7}{2} -\frac{7}{4}.

         To find- Value of the given expression.

         Solution:-

  • We will take the LCM of the denominators, and make denominators the same.
  • We will Convert the given fractions to equivalent fractions with the denominator as the LCM.
  • Adding the numerators over the denominators.

            \frac{7}{2} -\frac{7}{4} \\=\frac{(4\times7)-(7\times2)}{4\times2} \\=\frac{28-14}{8}\\=\frac{14}{8}  \\=\frac{7}{4} .

      Hence we will get the value \frac{7}{4} .

Given values are,

\frac{7}{2} , \frac{7}{4}

Now we have to subtract these values.

\frac{7}{2} - \frac{7}{4}

In order to subtract the fractions, their denominators must be equal.

For this first we have find out the LCM of 2,4

The LCM of 2,4 is 4

\frac{7}{2}\times \frac{2}{2}  - \frac{7}{4}

\frac{14}{4} -\frac{7}{4}

\frac{14-7}{4}

\frac{7}{4}

Therefore, the final answer is \frac{7}{4}
