To subtract :

  • 8a + 7b 2c from 3a 7b + 4c

Solution :

    (3a – 7b + 4c) – (8a + 7b – 2c)

  ➠ 3a – 7b + 4c – 8a – 7b + 2c

Combining the like terms, we get :

    (3a – 8a) + (–7b – 7b) + (4c + 2c)

  ➠ (–5a) + (–14b) + (6c)

  ➠ 5a 14b + 6c

Required answer :

\sf{(3a - 7b + 4c) - (8a + 7b - 2c) = {\textbf{\textsf{-5a - 14b + 6c}}}}
