 \overline{0.52}-\overline{0.46}  =   \overline{0.06}

To find :

 \overline{0.52}-\overline{0.46} = ?

Given data :

Bar means repeating decimals.

It is also known as non-terminating decimals.

For example, \overline{0.834} which is expressed as 0.834834834....so on.

In same way, \overline{0.52}  is expressed as 0.525252...

                      \overline{0.46} is expressed as 0.464646...

To find the difference between \overline{0.52} and \overline{0.46}:

Consider x = 0.525252... and y = 0.464646...

\overline{0.52}-\overline{0.46} = x - y

\overline{0.52}-\overline{0.46}   =  (0.525252...) – (0.464646...)

                   = 0.060606...

                   = \overline{0.06}.

Thus, subtracting  \overline{0.52}-\overline{0.46}  gives  \overline{0.06} .
