p ^{2}  - 2p - 5p^{2}  - 3p + 4 \\ = (5p ^{2}  - p^{2} ) - (3p - 2p) + 4  \\  = 4p ^{2}  - p ^{2}  + 4

first put common terms in bracket and do the process, in this 5 p Square is subtracted from p Square and 3 p is subtracted from 2 p and add 4
