When you subtract - x2y2 from z2, then you have to change the signs (positive /negative) of - x2y2, then your answer will come z2+x2y2

$z^{2} - x^{2} y^{2}$
=(z+ xy) (z -xy)
=(z)(z)+(z)(−xy)+(xy)(z)+(xy)(−xy)
= $z^{2} - xyz + xyz - x^{2}y^{2}$
= $-x^{2}y^{2} + z^{2}$
