I think you want to say

 {a}^{2} - 5a + 6 \: \\ {a}^{3} - 4 {a}^{2} + 5 - a

so here,

 {a}^{3} - 4 {a}^{2} - a \: + 5 \\ - {a}^{2} + 5a - 6 \\ \\ = {a}^{3} - 5 {a}^{2} + 4a - 1

it's in short of you want in longer way then repost the question I will answer .

(sorry if you find it wrong)
