Draw a straight line. On the left end of the line, mark as 0. With uniform gap mark 1,2,3..... upto any no. you wish. But make sure there should be equal gaps b/w the no.'s.
In the no. line, mark at 11 and then towards your left move 8 steps(numbers) to the left . You will arrive at number 3.
