Given ,

the sum of 1/2 + 3/4

First of all

we have to take LCM of 2 , 4 = 4

$\frac{1}{2} + \frac{3}{4}$

$\frac{2 + 3}{4}$

$\frac{5}{4}$

The sum of 3/2 + 5/2

we have to take LCM of 2, 2 = 2

$\frac{3}{2} + \frac{5}{2}$

$\frac{3 + 5}{2}$

$\frac{8}{2} = 4$

Subtract :

$4 - \frac{5}{4}$

$\frac{16 - 5}{4}$

$\frac{11}{4}$
