Solution :

Given ,

the sum of 1/2 + 3/4

First of all

we have to take LCM of 2 , 4 = 4

 \frac{2 + 3}{4}

 \frac{5}{4}

The sum of 3/2 + 5/2

The sum of

 \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{3}{4}

 \frac{2 + 3}{4}  =  \frac{5}{4}

The sum of

 \frac{3}{2}  +  \frac{5}{3}

 \frac{9 + 10}{6}  =  \frac{19}{6}

 \frac{15 - 38}{12}  =  \frac{23}{12}
