sum of (2x - x² + 5) and (4x - 3 + 7x²) = (2x - x² + 5) + (4x - 3 + 7x²)

= 2x - x² + 5 + 4x - 3 + 7x²

= 2x + 4x - x² + 7x² + 5 - 3

= 6x + 6x² + 2

= 6x² + 6x + 2

now subtracting the sum from 5,

= 5 - (6x² + 6x + 2)

= 5 - 6x² - 6x - 2

= 5 - 2 - 6x² - 6x

= 3 - 6x² - 6x

= 6x² - 6x + 3

= 3(2x² - 2x + 1)

KvKt2217: the equation is not equal to 0 so you cannot cancel out 3 and remove -ve sign .....

Answer:

-6x²-6x+3. or. -3(2x²+2x-1)

Step-by-step explanation:

  • =5-(2x-x²+5+4x-3+7x²)
  • =5-(7x²-x²+4x+2x+5-3)
  • =5-(6x²+6x+2)
  • =5-6x²-6x-2
  • =-6x²-6x+3
  • =-3(2x²+2x-1)
