Solution:

2x² -3x + 4+x²-x+5

=2x²+x²-3x-x+4+5

=3x²-4x+9

and

-9x +3 +5x³ +(-x) + 6+ 2x³

= -9x +3 +5x³ -x+ 6+ 2x³

=-9x -x+3+ 6+5x³+ 2x³

=-10x+9+7x³

Subtract: 3x²-4x+9 from -10x+9+7x³

(-10x+9+7x³)-(3x²-4x+9)

=-10x+9+7x³-3x²+4x-9

=-10x+4x+9-9+7x³-3x²

=-6x +7x³-3x²
