subtract the sum of 2x2 + 5xy - y2 and -3x2 - xy + 2y2 from x2 + 4xy + y2​

2 {x}^{2}  + 5xy -  {y}^{2}   + ( -  3 {x}^{2}  - xy + 2 {y}^{2} ) </p><p>=  -  {x}^{2}  + 4xy +  {y }^{2}   \\ -  {x}^{2}  + 4xy +  {y }^{2}  - ( {x}^{2}  + 4xy +  {y}^{2} ) =  - 2 {x}^{2} \\  \\ therefore \: we \: have \:  - 2 {x}^{2}
