Subtract the sum of 6x2 + 5y2 – 8xy and – 7xy + 6y2 + 3x2 from 10x2 + 14y2 + 3xy.

Solution :

6x²+ 5y² – 8xy + (–7xy + 6y² + 3x²)

= 6x²+ 3x² + 5y² + 6y2 -8xy -7xy

= 9x² + 11y² - 15xy

10x² + 14y² + 3xy - ( 9x² + 11y² - 15xy)

= 10x² - 9x² + 14y² - 11y² + 3xy + 15xy

= x² + 3y² + 18xy
