to solve this u have to do these steps

step one :
875 is the positive number so it resembles the sign +
step two :
(-400) the brackets resembles multiplication
now -400 is the negative number
so we will write + * - =-
875 - 400 = 475

step three :
smiliarly we will see that (-609 ) is thwritten as - and the brackets mean multiplication
step four :
407 is the positive number so it is written with a simple + . now - * + =-
now subtract these numbers 609-407=202
step five :
add these numbers
475 + 202= 677

the answer is 677
