Subtract using the number line.
(a) 3 from -2
(b) -5 from -3​

Answer:

(a) = 1

(b) = -8

here +3 -2= +1 ( if one of the number is positive and another is negative then there is subtraction of the numbers and the symbol of the greater number is used before the answer)

and -5 + -3 = -8 ( if both the symbols are negative then there is addition of the two numbers and negative symbol is used before the answer)
