Answer:

= x^3 + 4x^2y + 7xy^2 - y^2 - ( y^2-6xy^2-3x^2y )

= x^3 + 4x^2y + 7xy^2 - y^2 - y^2 + 7xy^2 + 3x^2y

= x^3 + (4x^2y+3x^2y) + (7xy^2+7xy^2) - (y^2- y^2)

= x^3 + 7x^2y + 14xy^2- 2y^2
