Subtracting three times of a from the double of 8 is 13. Write the given statement in the form of equation.

according to the question,

2×8 - 3a = 13

=> 16 - 3a = 13

=> - 3a = 13 - 16

=> a = -3/-3

=> a = 1 .....Ans.
