Subject: Poorly maintained subways
Sir:
I write to your reputed self to express my concern over the issue of poorly maintained subways in the city. They become real nuisance during the rainy season, causing much inconvenience to the commuters. They appear to have been constructed haphazardly, without any proper planning. The PWD department’s inefficiency has been exposed.
Even during dry days, the subways are very poorly maintained. They are not regularly cleaned. At night especially, people fear using them for fear of being attacked or looted by criminals. I wrote many letters previously to bring the matter to the authorities’ notice. However, no action was taken.
The concerned authorities’ apathy to the ongoing problems is outrageously shocking. I appeal to your kind self to look into the matter and do the needful.
