Success and innocence are poles apart indeed; they must not be classified together in any category. They are diametrical opposite to each other. A successful person may be innocent or extraordinarily experienced. Innocence may be or may not be a constituent of success. If innocence were the determining factor of success, then all the lambs, deer, rabbits, fowls and pheasants were successful beings. Success comes through hard work combined with experience and readiness to grab opportunities. Gaston had no negative trait. Every one has the right to seize any opportunity if it comes their way. He did nothing wrong. He just smartly acted. He deserved that success. The little truth that he kept hidden, did not harm Juliette, nor anyone else.
