Answer:

LET TWO NUMBER BE "x" and " y"

Accord. to question

x + y = 37 \\ \\ x - y = 11

here in 1 equation

x = 37 - y

putting this value in 2 equation we get

37 - y - y = 11 \\ \\ - 2y = - 26 \\ \\ y = 13

putting value of y in 1 equation we get

x + 13 = 37 \\ \\ x = 24

hence the numbers are 13 and 24

Answer:

  • Such two numbers are 24 and 13.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume:

Such two numbers.

  • One number be x.
  • Other number be y.

Where, x > y

Given that:

  • Adding the number we get 37.

i.e., x + y = 37 _____(i)

  • Substracting the number we get 11.

i.e., x - y = 11 _____(ii)

Adding the eqⁿ (i) and eqⁿ (ii):

⟶ x + y + (x - y) = 37 + 11

⟶ x + y + x - y = 48

Cancelling y.

⟶ 2x = 48

⟶ x = 48/2

⟶ x = 24

∴ The value of x = 24

Now substituting the value of x in eqⁿ (i):

⟶ x + y = 37

⟶ 24 + y = 37

⟶ y = 37 - 24

⟶ y = 13

∴ The value of y = 13
