Heya...
Here is your answer --

A sudden increase in the Earth's temperature is known as Global Warming.

The Earth is surrounded by a layer of air called the atmosphere. Air is a mixture of gases. Certain gases in the atmosphere such as water vapour, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide and methane are knwon as greenhouse gases. These greenhouse gases form a layer in the upper region of the atmosphere. The sunrays that the Earth receives pass through these greenhouse gases and warm the Earth. The warm surface of the Earth radiates some heat back into the atmosphere. The greenhouse gases do not let all this heat escape from the Earth's atmosphere. They trap some heat and keep the Earth warm. This is known as Greenhouse effect.

Scientists believe that human actions have increased the amount of Greenhouse Gases, mainly carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. As a result, more heat is being trapped and this has increased the Earth's temperature. This is known as Global Warming. If this process of Global Warming continues, it will bring about climate change. One way of controlling global warming is to reduce carbon dioxide emission from motor vehicles and industries which increase the carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere.
