Step-by-step explanation:

Let the age of seema is x

and the age of sudhesh is 2x

According to question

after subtracted 6 years from seema's age = (x-6)

after added 4 years in sudhesh age = (2x+4)

(2x+4) = 4(x-6)

2x+4 = 4x-24

4+24 = 4x-2x

28 = 2x

28/2 = x

14 = x

so,seema's age = 14

and sudesh age = 28

GIVEN :-

  • Sudesh is twice as old as Seema .
  • If six years is subtracted from Seema's age and four added to

        Sudesh's age , age of Sudesh  will be four times Seema's age .

TO FIND :-

  • Age of Sudesh three years ago .
  • Age of Seema three years ago .

SOLUTION :-

   Let ,

   Age of Seema = x

   Age of Sudhesh = 2x

    When six years is subtracted from Seema's age ,

    Age of Seema = x - 6

    When four added to Sudesh's age ,

     Age of  Sudesh = 2x + 4

      According to the question ,

            \sf 2x+4= 4(x-6)

         \longrightarrow\sf 2x+4 = 4x-24 \\\\\longrightarrow 4x-2x = 24+4 \\\\\longrightarrow 2x = 28 \\\\\longrightarrow x = 14

    Age of Seema = 14 years

    Age of Sudesh = 28 years

  •   Age of Seema 3 years ago = 12 years
  •   Age of Sudesh 3 years ago = 25 years
