AnSwer :

  • Total eggs bought by the sudha is 100.
  • Cost price (CP) of that 100 eggs is Rs. 50.
  • Out of 100 eggs 4 eggs were found to be broken.
  • Therefore, he sold the remaining eggs = 100 - 4 = 96.
  • Selling price (SP) of 1 dozen eggs is Rs. 8.5

According to the Question Now :

→ 12 eggs = 1 dozen

→ 96 eggs = 96 ÷ 12

96 eggs = 8 dozens

  • Now, first of all we need to calculate the selling price of the 8 dozen eggs.

⇢SP of 1 dozen = Rs. 8.5 [Given]

⇢SP of 8 dozen = 8.5 × 8

SP of 8 dozen = Rs. 68

  • Hence,the selling price of 8 dozen eggs is Rs. 68.

Now, we have to find the Profit of these 8 dozen eggs :

⇒Profit = Selling Price - Cost Price

⇒Profit = 68 - 50

Profit = 18

Now, as per question we need to find the gain percentage of the eggs :

⇻Profit % = (Profit/Cost Price) × 100

⇻Profit % = (18/50) × 100

⇻Profit % = 18/5 × 10

⇻Profit % = 180/5

Profit % = 36 %

  • Hence,the gain percentage of the sudha is 36 %.

According to the question:

 \sf \implies \: 12 \: eggs = 1 \: dozen \\  \\  \sf \implies \: 96 \: eggs = 96 \div 12 \\  \\  \sf \implies \: 96 \: eggs = 8 \: dozens

Now,we have to find Selling Price of the 8 dozens eggs

SP of 1 dozen = Rs. 8.5

SP of 8 dozens = 8.5 × 8

SP of 8 dozens = Rs. 68

Hence,the selling price of 8 dozen eggs is Rs.68.

Now,we have to find Profit.

 \sf \: profit = selling \: price - cost \: price \\  \\  \sf \: profit = 68 - 50 \\  \\  \sf profit = 18

Now,we have to find Profit%

\sf\fbox\red{Profit\:%={\dfrac{Profit}{Cost \:Price} ×100}}

 \sf profit \: percent =  \frac{18}{50}  \times 100 \\  \sf \: profit \: percent =  \frac{18}{5}  \times 10 \\  \sf \: profit \: percent =  \frac{80}{15}  \\   \sf \: profit \: percent = 36 \:

Hence,the Profit% of the Sudha is 36 %.
