Let the number of notes of Rs 100, Rs 50 and Rs 10 be 2x, 3x, and 5x respectively.

Then total cash= 2x × 100+ 3x × 50+ 5x ×10

= 200x +150x+50x

=400x

Now, according to the question

400x= 4000

 \bold{x =  \frac{4000}{400} }

 \implies \bold{x = 10}

Number of notes of Rs 10= 2×10= 20

Number of notes of Rs 50= 3×10= 30

Number of notes of Rs 10= 5×10= 50

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of 100, 50 and 10 notes be 2a, 3a and 5a respectively.

Then (2ax100)+(3ax50)+(5ax10)=4000

200a+150a+50a=4000

400a=4000

a=10

So the number of 100, 50 and 10 notes are 20, 30 and 50 respectively
