Sugar and salt take the shape of the container in which they are kept even then we call them solids?

they take the shape of the conntainer by occupying the intermolecular space inside them hence even if they r solids they take the shape of the container.....I hope its right...

This is because both are too small in size for which they take the shape of the container. But they are solid as they show every property of solids except this one. Hope this helps you dear...
