Step 1 : - Bring a Magnet near the Iron Fillings. (The Iron Fillings will attract the magnet)
Step 2 : - Water is added to the remaining mixture.
Sugar completely dissolves in the added water. Now we can perform filteration. Sugar water passes through the Filter paper, residue obtained is mixture of sand & sulphur. This passed water can be evaporated to obtain SUGAR.
Step 3 : - We add Carbon - Disulphide to the mixture of sand and sulphur. Sulphur dissolves in the added Carbon - Disulphide. We again carry out Filteration. Sulphur in Carbon - Disulphide passes , residue is Sand.
This is how we seperate
SULPHUR + SAND + SUGAR + IRON FILLINGS !
Hope this helps !
