A suitable method for separating a mixture of aniline and chloroform would be steam distillation.

Steam distillation is the process used to separate aromatic compounds from a mixture because of their temperature sensitivity.

It involves evaporation followed by condensation in which it utilises the fact that boiling points are different for different compounds and hence can be separated.

Here, since aniline is a non-polar aromatic compound , it doesn't dissolve in water whereas chloroform is soluble( though weak interactions present).

Therefore, steam distillation is an ideal method for their separation.
