Answer:

Displacement is the direct length between any two points when measured along the minimum path between them. Displacement is a vector quantity as it depends upon both magnitude and direction.

HOPE IT HELPED U

According to me,

Say an object is at rest initially from time t1 to t2 and then started moving with uniform velocity in +ve X direction from time t2 to t3.

Now, after t3 it started to move again with uniform velocity but in -ve X or opposite direction and come back at starting point at time t4(it moves say 2m and come back again 2m)

Now it continues to move with uniform velocity (it hasn't stopped) in -ve X direction till time t5 (moved 2m in negative direction say)after which it continues to be at rest....

A person riding a cycle or many others

Or ncert exercise solution ball bouncing one....

(i) why can't displacement be negative it just the matter of direction?(-ve direction = -ve displacement)

(ii)Now, time it is related to the frame of reference.

say,One started to see object before the other one!!

So, the graph situation is when second one started to see the object, object was already undergoing motion w.r.t first one so the graph also gives information of object before the second one started to see it!!

hope you get second one!!

(correct if I'm wrong anywhere)
