The following measures to solve the problem of Land Degradation are as follows:

1. Large scale plantation of trees or Afforestation and proper management of grazing.

2. Proper management of wasteland Control of mining activities.

3. Planting shelter belts of trees in opposite direction to wind in the windy,arid  areas like Desert Rajasthan.

4. Non degradable wastes like plastic should not be dumped,underground on landfills.

5. Biodegradable waste should be recycled.

6. Reducing the flow of water in stream.

7. Land degradation can be checked by plugging gullies.

The measures to solve the problem of Land Degradation are as follows;

Integrating ground and water supervision to preserve soils from depletion, salinization, and other forms of degeneration.

Preserving the vegetative canopy, which can be an important device for soil preservation upon wind and water depletion. Gardening. Planting trees and grass can prevent massive rains from destroying our land and it preserves the topsoil from being wiped away.

Afforestation which is planting more and more trees is also a useful way of preserving land from degradation.

Maintenance of Tillage

Using Fertilizers and compost to maintain the productivity of the soil.
