• Covering of crops - It is a method to cover the soil and is effective to reduce soil erosion and also protects against heavy rainfall.
• Mulching - It refers to the application of some organic material to soil to increase its richness.
• Tillage - It buries more residue thereby preserving organic material and soil aggregates.
• Farming cross slope - It is the practice of carrying out farming in a perpendicular direction to the field. It helps to control heavy runoffs and protect the soil.
