1- Khadi is defined as the hand-woven natural fiber cloth.

2- Khadi was originated from the eastern regions of the subcontinents.

3- This fabric is mainly made of cotton and is now broadly used in India and other countries.

4- Khadi is also known as 'khaddar' and usually called as 'rough textured fabric.'

5- The khadi movement was came into existence by Mahatma Gandhi to boycott foreign clothes. He then began to promote Khadi manufacturing which brings self-employment and self-reliance in rural areas instead of using fabrics manufactured by foreign companies.
