Hey...
The answer lies in the realisation that both school classes and coaching classes are not totally different, they are more or less the same.
Since you are in 11th,make sure that you get a good beginning. Now if you are someone who hasn't had any previous coaching classes you will find it difficult to cope up.What you need to do is to ask doubts regularly,to teachers or to the toppers in your classes or someone else.
Make sure you get a proper understanding of how things work.
Chemistry is mostly about writing down and Studying. It can be said that your proficiency in Chem. is directly proportional to the number of pages you fill with your writing.
Physics is the part where you have to make sure that you understand the theory COMPLETELY and when I say completely,I mean it.Ask doubts regularly and have no shame at all.Everyone is in the same level in the beginning and the only way to overtake others is to ask doubts.
As for Maths,it just came to me.If it doesn't happen just practice more and more and solve as many questions as you can. It’s all about knowing the type of questions they ask,you don’t need to have the intelligence of Einstein. As they say practice makes a man perfect.
And what you said about rote learning, they are not rote at all.Though you don't have to give them much importance study them.It will give you an overall benefit.
And in the school exams,i think that you just have to pass. It’s only the final exams that have importance and passing would be easy.
And finally and the most important one,be SINCERE and HARDWORK.
Know that if you sacrifice a few things for 2 years you can have a better life than most.
Wishing you all the best.
Hope this would help you.
