The measure of soil conservation in hilly and mountain area:

  • Increase the growth of trees to hold the soil together, an increase of tree cover will prevent destruction like landslides during rainfall or snow.
  • Stop cattle grazing as cattle tend to overgraze the land and make the soil loose leading them to poor holding and erosion.
  • Construction of Dam prevents excessive flood water to stagnate and dissolve top soil and wipe it out, other than that it also prevents the destruction of trees and land masses during rainfall.
